Role: Product Designer, Founder, Creative Director
Designed by Matthew Tait, 2015The TAIT Perpetual Calendar was inspired by vintage volvelles—rotating paper devices once used to track time, tides, and the stars. It reimagined this classic form through a modern lens, offering a timeless, tactile alternative to disposable calendars. Each turn of the dial became a quiet ritual, inviting reflection and presence.
Each calendar was hand screen printed on recycled paper board made in Detroit and assembled at the TAIT studio. Finished with solid maple ends and a grosgrain ribbon, it brought a sculptural quality to a practical daily tool—something built to last and designed to live beautifully in any space.
